The 144th AIME annual board meeting was held at Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach, CA August 6-8, 2015.  The group was welcomed Thursday night with a Mediterranean reception overlooking the yacht slips and bay.  Friday activities included a presentation at California Lands Commission offices in Long Beach, lunch at Fuego at Hotel Maya hosted by California Resources Corporation and boat ride by them to tour their offshore oil rig, Island White.  The group returned to Long Beach to tour the Queen Mary and feast on an indoor/outdoor Asian buffet complete with sushi.  Saturday included the official Board meeting followed by cliffside reception/dinner at Studio at Montage Laguna Beach.  The scenery and food was second to none -- the Executive Chef even came out to receive a standing ovation!
