New Technical Zones at IPTC Doha, Qatar, Jan 19-22, 2014

Join us at the 7th International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) taking place 19–22 January 2014 at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) in Doha, Qatar.

For the first time, IPTC’s exhibition floor will feature dedicated zones for the following technical disciplines:

  • Geoscience and Reservoir
  • Drilling and Completion
  • Projects and Facilities
  • Digital Energy and Automation
  • Gas Processing
  • HSE
  • Education and Training

The zones will provide ample opportunities for oil and gas professionals to network, interact and discover the latest technologies pertinent to their respective fields.


Young Members Activities

IPTC will host a variety of activities that aim to inform young people about the oil and gas industry and encourage them to join this vibrant, diverse and challenging environment.

International Education Week (18–22 January)
The International Education Week entitled “Energy Challenges + Education = Our Future” includes a five-day programme for the benefit of the best undergraduate geosciences and engineering students from international institutions. The highlight of this event is the Energy Bee Competition on 20 January.

Science Teachers Workshop (19 January)
The Teachers’ workshop entitled “Education Energizing the Future” will focus on supporting teachers in the education of essential scientific concepts that relate to the oil and gas industry.

Future Engineers Parents Dinner (21 January)
This event is designed to make parents aware of the career opportunities available for engineering, geosciences and science students, within the oil and gas industry.

Education Days (21–22 January)
The Education Days entitled "Energy 4All" are initiatives to introduce students to the disciplines of petroleum engineering, and the industry, in general.

International Young Professionals Competition (21 January)
The winners of the International Young Professionals Competition will be announced at the IPTC Closing Ceremony.
