Survey input on enhancing preparation, performance and employability of engineering graduates in global world

Dear IFEES colleagues,

As many of you know, the ASEE Corporate Member Council Special Interest Group for International Engineering Education has compiled an assessment of skills and experiences required by engineering graduates to work effectively in a global environment.

As the next step, in association with IFEES, we recently released a short, online survey aimed at collecting input from educators, students and firms employing engineers around the world designed to enhance the preparation, performance and employability of engineering graduates living and working in an increasingly global context.  The survey – available at http://ifees.net/activities/Attributes-of-a-Global-Engineer-Survey.cfm – is available in Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Turkish.

We are asking for your assistance in encouraging educators, employers, students, and professional engineers throughout the global engineering community to participate in the survey.  One suggestion is for you to use your membership lists to direct potential respondents to the survey.  Suggested language is below and a press release announcing the release of the survey is attached.

As a society committed to furthering academic excellence in engineering and engineering technology education your support is vital.  Thank you.
