Norman J. Dunbeck is executive vice-president and a member of the board of directors of International Minerals & Chemical Corporation. He came to International in 1951 as vice-president of its Industrial Minerals Division.
A pioneer in the development of new clays, Mr. Dunbeck holds several major patents on foundry sand binders and treatments. He is past-president of both the International Committee of Foundry Technical Associations, and the American- Foundrymen's Society.
A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Mr. Dunbeck was graduated from the Catholic University of America in 1924 with a B.S. degree in chemical engineering. He joined Eastern Clay Products, Inc. in 1926 and was a vice-president at the time (1951) of the firm's acquisition by International Minerals and Chemical Corporation. As executive vice-president of IMC, he oversees the activities of three principal product groups: food, agriculture, and industrial.
